My Provincial Kitchen is a small family-owned company out of Western Australia that has been producing high-quality lupin flours and products since 1980. The farm is owned and ran by Robert and Tanya who work as a team to harvest the Lupin and develop tasty high-quality products for purchase, such as these Lupin Anzac Biscuits.
What is Lupin?
Lupin is a nutritious gluten-free legume that is a nutritional powerhouse. It contains up to 40% protein, double the content of other legumes like chickpeas, is a great source of dietary fibre and is low in carbohydrates. Not only this but it is jam packed with vitamins and minerals including Magnesium, Potassium and Iron and is a great pre-biotic, making it a very healthy gluten-free food.
Aside from its impressive nutrition profile, Lupin is also an incredibly sustainable and eco-friendly farming crop with a low carbon foot-print. Western Australia is responsible for up to 80% of the global Lupin supply. My Provincial Kitchen is in the top 5% of growers globally that are involved in each set of the Lupin farming process from planting and harvesting to packaging.
My Provincial Kitchen sells Lupin flour as well as providing packaged mixes for alternatives to traditional gluten-containing sweets including Chocolate Brownies, making gluten-free eating easy and stress-free. All products are endorsed by Coeliac Australia, giving their customers comfort in knowing they are choosing safe and nutritious gluten-free products.
